ACT Fall Summit 2009

The ACT Fall Summit will be Saturday, August 29, 2009 in the Wetumpka Depot Theatre in Wetumpka, AL. This event brings together theatre artists from all arenas: theatre for youth, secondary and college/ university theatre programs, as well as community and professional theatre throughout the state. The Summit will begin at 10:00 am with doors opening at 9:30am.  Discussion and presentations will be from 10:00 until 12:00 and 12:45 until.  There‘s no charge for this event, and lunch will be provided.

  • College University Festival and State Screening Auditions
  • District and Trumbauer Festival
  • Needs of the Theatre Community
  • ACT growth and the year in review
  • Election of officers
  • Awards and Recognitions

Please RSVP with ACT. You do not have to be a member of ACT to attend the Fall Summit but come to see why your membership and voice is important to the future of ACT.

Mission

The Alabama Conference of Theatre serves the purpose of improving the quality of theatre arts on all levels throughout the State of Alabama; encouraging the further development of theatre arts activity; creating a closer relationship among theater arts people at all levels; training audiences to a greater appreciation of theatre arts; and cooperating and maintaining a close, helpful relationship with other individuals and organizations within or without the State of Alabama, who entertain an interest in theatre arts.
